Support for Families

Parenting is one of the most rewarding roles we have, but it can also be one of the most challenging. There is no instruction manual, and every family faces different questions, concerns and experiences along the way.

Whether you are looking for advice about your child’s emotional wellbeing, seeking support for challenging behaviour, navigating SEND needs, concerned about self-harm or mental health, experiencing relationship difficulties at home, or simply wanting a second opinion on a parenting issue, help is available.

The resources in this guide offer a range of free and accessible support for parents, carers and families across Cambridgeshire. From online information and peer support groups to specialist programmes and one-to-one guidance, these services can provide practical advice, reassurance and support when you need it most.

We encourage all families to reach out for support early. Asking for help is a sign of strength, and often a small conversation can make a big difference.
