The Eden Centre

Parkside Sixth is based at our dedicated Sixth Form hub – the Eden Centre – which is a stone’s throw from the Grafton Centre in the heart of Cambridge. We are a short walk from both Cambridge Train Station and the Bus Station.

The Eden Centre is a place for quiet study, support and guidance, lessons, social events and performances. With contemporary décor and beautiful architecture, it reflects the personality of Parkside Sixth and provides a home away from home for our Sixth Formers.

The centre boasts three large teaching spaces, as well as smaller rooms for group work, mentor meetings and sessions with tutors. Our Sixth Formers also have their own independent study room as well as a separate common room for socialising with their peers.

We aim to offer everything that our students need to focus on their work and make the most of their time – from kitchen facilities to our store of Chromebooks, which are available to borrow should you need laptop access.

Parkside, the Central Campus

Parkside, which overlooks Parker’s Piece in the centre of Cambridge, is a beautiful Edwardian building. Classrooms surround an impressive centre quadrangle, which is used as a place for relaxation, quiet study and evening performances.

The campus is ICT-rich to maximise opportunities from learning. Classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and projectors.

The Library is newly refurbished with private study spaces and includes a designated Sixth Form Library area. This contains individual and group work spaces, with access to a wide range of relevant books, journals and ICT resources.

Parkside has a purpose-built Science, Maths, Technology and Art block. Along with practice rooms in the Music block, these spaces can be booked out by Sixth Form students for activities, with technical support available.
