- Guidance Meeting
Following your application, we will invite qualified applicants to an advice and guidance meeting with a member of our friendly staff to discuss the courses you have applied for, your future career aspirations and to find out more about you as an individual. Parents and carers are encouraged to attend your meeting with you.
You may be asked to provide examples of work you have done at school or in your free time.
You may decide that after the discussion the courses you have put on your form are not the courses for you, so we will work with you to find your best possible programme of study.
You will then be offered a tour of the school with a current member of Parkside Sixth, who can answer your questions from a student perspective.
- Offer to Study
Shortly after your Guidance Meeting, your interviewer will send you a letter detailing your offer requirements. Once you have received this, you will need to accept the offer on MyChoice and respond to our data form.
Please note that applicants can accept and hold offers from multiple colleges before making their final decision on GCSE results day.
Accepting your offer does not confirm your place at Parkside Sixth as this will be arranged at Enrolment after GCSE results day.
- Applicant Morning
If you accept your offer, you will be invited to our Applicant Morning.
These are designed to give you the opportunity to learn more about Parkside Sixth, meet your prospective classmates and teachers and discover more about your chosen subjects.
- Enrolment
For 2023 applicants, enrolment will take place on Friday 25th August 2023 between 9am and 1pm at the Eden Centre, immediately after GCSE Results Day. You will confirm your IBDP choices at this meeting with one of our Sixth advisors and we will formally enrol you as a Parkside Sixth student at this point.
